Staniel Cay with Toni and Eric

We had Korean Barbeque dinner on Notre Voyage at sunset. Great conversation and good company with Toni’s parents and Toni and Eric.

Sunset barbecue.

Eric was flying along near our Boat windsurfing. He looks great on the Surf board, he looked like a teenager!

Young looking windsurfer!

The shower outside of the house is so romantic. All the wall is made with Palm tree leaves and bushes all around and warm water from the top. The open lattice of the Palm leaves provided light and a breeze, wonderful. Toni’s father designed and constructed it. Their house has such a beautiful view and the interior has a beautiful space decorated with natural elements like Palm fronds and rustic items.

We moved to the Downtown Anchorage in Staniel Cay near the Thunderball Cave. We found a place to fill the two empty tanks of Propane gas. We are using one pound a day for the refrigerator.

There are the Nurse Sharks and Ray fish. They do not attack the human. They congregate under the fish cleaning station eating the scraps.

More of Peter’s friends!

Toni’s family and we went to the Thunderball Cave together. The Cave is so magnificent and wonderful. I am not completely comfortable to snorkel with tide and big waves. Toni was so good to lead us to the Cave with such an assuring voice. There is a big current and the entrance was really narrow with huge rocks.

I have got a swim noodle and held Peter’s hand one side and Toni pull my noodle on the other side and we swam against the current. Peter is eternally greatful to Toni since we two would not be able to go into the Cave by ourselves. There were beautiful fish and the ceiling has several holes for sun to come in. It is like Navaho Hogan. Under the water you can see sun streaming in from underwater entrances.

Several movies have been filmed here including Thunderball (James Bond) and Splash. We are going to have to download them and watch them.

I do not think that I will ever forget Toni’s soft voice. Oh! what is the friend for!

After that we all came in to our Boat for a drink and snack and family stories.

Notre Voyage between us on the clear water

Peter is always interested the water eating away the rock in the bottom of the island. Since it is limestone, water erodes away the stone.

Floating Island (Isle Flottante)!

The pigs are swimming and getting food from the people. We had some Bagels and gave to the pigs. While Peter stopped giving the Bagels, one of the pigs bit Peter in the rump, we have a photo of the bruse but decided to spare you the sight of his buttock!.

I am getting very concerned about Peter’s choice of friends, Sharks and pigd and iguanas, what next?

Hide the food or get bitten!

  1. Those pigs also greatly appreciate fresh bottled water… it is in short supply since Big Majors just has a big brackish pond. Glad to see you are having a great time!
