Every morning for breakfast we sit on the Balcony, we enjoy seeing the banana trees. We enjoy to count the bananas and see the new banana leaves come out. A new banana leaf is one whole leave rolled into a long tube and unrolls quickly. By wind, it breaks into several pieces. Also in the street, the bananas hang over and can be touched by hand. The bananas are delicious here with strong aroma.

We are organizing a trip to the tallest mountain(Pico Duarte, 10,000 feet). It is the highest mountain in the Caribbean and East Coast of America. We will climb up by Mule and it will take a couple of days. It will be cold up there. The family of the boat, Aphodite will go with their four kids. Since it is cold up there, we need to bring warm clothes.

We did have two exams in Spanish with Santiago. We both did well in Exam and Santiago is very studious about our needs in learning Spanish. Also he has invited us to dinner at their home. We appreciate this very much since his wife is a Principal of the school so has little time to cook.

A Hurricane passes north of us in the Ocean and is going to Florida. It rains a lot with unusual weather in the Dominican Republic. Our boat is all right we checked it after our trip home. We are going to have Papo clean the bottom and polish the boat. Since the labour is not expensive here it will be a reasonable cost.

This is Milagros who is a very kind and intelligent Dominican person. She helped me while we were looking for a Studio in our early days in Luperon. She sent us her car with a driver to visit the her list of houses. We are having a dinner tonight with her. Her Swiss husband died a couple of years ago. We speak everything in Spanish with her.

The Luperon harbour and the boats are in the background also in the further distance is the Ocean. If you look closely, you can see our boat, Notre Voyage, in the water behind the boat with the orange awning..
