Caja de Muertos

The restaurant under the tree has a lot of Puerto Rican dishes and the beach and sea is next to seating area. It is the Ferry station to the Gilligan Island and people order the dish to bring to the islands for lunch. The dish which I ordered, Veal Stew was really good.

Ponce Art Museum building design has a unique quality and has a lot of 18C and 19C paintings. There are also a few contemporary art works from local artist. This Painting attracted my attention specially. In the photo, it looks like a water tank from afar.

We had New Years Eve dinner here. And talked about the events of 2016. The high light of the year is travelling throughout different cultures. The climbing of Pico Duarte in The Dominican Republic was the best event to me in 2016. The last sunset of 2016 was beautiful and we are ready for a colorful and challenging 2017.

The view of the island from the Lighthouse is magnificent! The shape of the Island is like a coffin so the Spanish name is Coffin Island. As a new years day exploration, it is a fantastic adventure.
