Lee and Peter Sailing Trip was for Four not Two Years. Now an Italian adventure

Charleston is a charming, artistic, and attractive city. We came to a Marina for getting mail delivered and some bank business.

On the dock, we met “Layla” the boat we were at the Oxbow with who left there a day before us. We thought they were way ahead yet with 7 marinas in Charleston there they were on the same dock!  Odyssey (Layla’s friend) was also there. We all had beer and listen to Clarinet and sang songs with guitar outside on a chilly night. We stayed up late and talked about sailing experiences and the boats.

Peter got excited to seea replica of the  Hunley ( first submarine) in the Museum.

This is the ultimate doll house for Peter. Also there were two movies about the slavery for the Rice Plantations. It is really sad to see the history of the slavery. We are so glad that this period is gone for good.

At night we went to the club for famous Jazz, blue and award winning food. The food was mediocre and the music was not jazz or blues, so much for the reviews.

The waterfront is beautiful. After this we went to have a lunch in the busy street. The southern BBQ is the main menu. We have eaten too much of it so we were looking for something different. We found a noodle shop with Southern or Asian? Spicy dishes. I had Green Papaya salad. It was so good mixed with aromatic spice and nuts. May be it could be inspired by Vietnamise and Southern dish.

Earlier at a state park there was a sign advicing how to handle bears, backaway, make noise etc. The last word was if attaked fight back don’t play dead. When we met this guy fighting back would have seemed futile!
