Lee and Peter Sailing Trip was for Four not Two Years. Now an Italian adventure

Savannah is my favorite city so far. First of all, the City Scape is so beautiful, well thought out and functioning well. Every other Block there is a Garden park. The green spots on the map are indicating the gardens. It feels like all the buildings are connected by the tree and flowers.

We went to the historic house which is converted to a restaurant called The Olde Pink House. It is a National Landmark building and built on land granted by the crown of England to James Habersham Jr. Notice the British flag.

The restaurant has a  cozy ambiance with a fire place. The service was very good too. Joe, our waiter, was so knowledgeable and enthusiatic about the menu. At his recommendation I had Southern Grilled Pork Tenderloin. It was magnificent.

We do not make a tour of every Church as we did in France Travel,  we walked past the Cathedral of John the Divine and liked the Architecture so much we went a tour inside.

The Cruising Guide said Savannah is in the top ten of Romantic and Friendly city and we found that to be true.

When we arrived on the dock in Savannah, a group of people shouted our Boat name and came out to help get the lines. We had met them waiting for a bridge to open at Charlston six days ago. They took a photo of us and we exchanged emails over the radio but must have written it wrong. We had given up getting the photos but there we were 6 days later next to each other! We only know each other by boat name until we have drinks aboard.

Their three boats have been travelling together, that means they go to the same Anchorage and same Marinas. They have been together since Norfolk Sounds intriguing so we decided we may become fourth boat in Florida. They left Savannah this morning and we have at least another day here waiting delivery of a package so maybe to far behind, we shall see.

Peter met another friend to have a chat with. They are wearing same hat!

Before Savannah we anchored in  quiet cove and the mist came down and the water stilled, it was erie and mystical.
