Sorry to be somber today but as most of you know my (Peter) youngest son Joe passed away this time last year he was 29 years old. He had leukemia and we all thought it was under control then he suffered a brain hemorage and never recovered. The anerversary brings back all the sad memories of that difficult time.
I miss him very much, he always encouraged me to be adventurous. We snow skied and went fishing on our previous boat Tarantella. He would have been delighted in our trip and would have joined us at some point along the way.
The next post should be a happy one but today is a remembrance day while we think about the good times with Joe and sadness at the loss of what could have been.
Hello Peter! I’ve no idea what to say ,,just so sorry to hear that.I pray for your son and you.Take care and say hello to Lee.Love, chapa

Hi Peter and Eemo, I remember Joe fondly too. I remember when we went hiking all day and poor Joe got sick from our dinner before. Another memory I have is when he chose a karaoke song and it was all rap no actual singing haha! He was always up for anything from trying a crazy new Korean dish to wearing a hanbok to helping clean up our grandmother’s resting place. He was such a witty, smart, kind person and I’m so glad I got to meet him and see what a great father you are to have raised such amazing people. We miss you both and hope that you stay safe in your travels. Thank you for writing and keeping us updated. We love you! Love, Eunbee

My deepest sympathies, Pete. I, too, remember this time a year ago. It was terribly sad, but alleviated by the knowledge of who Joe was and how he lived his life – he had a great many friends, and left a part of himself in all of them. Short though his life was, it was full.
My best to you and Lee.

Peter/Lee, I can’t imagine how hard this day must be for you & how much you must miss him. I’m glad that I had the chance to meet Joe. What I remember about him was that he was thoughtful & very funny. As difficult as this day must be for you, please know that there are people thinking of you. Julie
