Anticipation of St Augustine

St Augustine chart.

The feeling of the arrival in an unknown Port city is full of emotions. The anticipation, curiosity, mystery, the navigation challenges of unknown anchorages and docks, tides and winds, the feeling of safety once there, the mix of feelings is always intense.

St. Augustine, our next planned city, is supposed to be the oldest town in the nation! And we are getting into the south influenced by Spanish culture. They have what is claimed to be a world class Christmas Lights, National Geographic said top ten (where is Blackpool UK).

We are anchored 10 miles north of St. Augustine behind an uninhabited island. Peter is working on the hot water Hoses to connect the hot water tank to the Engine. When finished, we will have hot water every time we run the motor.

What a small space to fit the hose.

  1. St Augustine is quite a fine historic city! We were there in September 2001 just before the 9-11 attacks. Great memories of that visit… Enjoy!

  2. Missed you in Oriental by one day. You are making great time. I enjoy reading the towns and cities as you go. I did them in reverse. Cathy is not receiving your emails and would like to. Fire in apt above hers made a huge water mess and lots of work. Chopped out walls. Still going on. Miss you guys.
