Kennedy Space Center

We are in see a small town called New Smyrnia Beach, very charming and interesting. The Christmas decoration in the town is very attractive and colorful. We are standing in front of giant Christmas Tree with shiny Balls which reflect us.

We are in a Christmas ball!

Peter is in the heaven called The Half Wall, a beer speciality pub, which has 76 draft beers. He misses drinking friends to share the beers with.

How can I taste all 76 and still stand up?

Tonight, we are staying in Titusville. The Town is car oriented and everything is spread out. We found a place for Ice Coffee and Tea but the place was so empty and it reminded me of the dreadful bar in Hopper’s painting.

We are organizing now Christmas activities. We did not want to go to a Christmas Party at a Yacht Club and anyway the parties are not on Christmas day. We are going to make a Christmas Carol group and we will go to every boat to sing Christmas Carols. We will wear Santa hat and red color cloths. We can put five dinghys rafted up and maybe 15 people together.

The Kennedy Space Center was truly educational and inspiring. We learned so much about the Space Rockets and Space Exploration. The only setback is that it was too much oriented to the past. The Future presentations seemed very weak and the reality is also that way. The USA has no capability to send people into the space since they shut down the Space Shuttle in July 2011 and have to use Russian rockets to get to the ISS.

Saturn I

The format was inspiring, large multimedia presentations before entering a specific exhibit like the moon landings or the Shuttle. The IMAX movies were stunning in 3D. The size of the Saturn V rocket used for the moon landings was surprisingly large.

We also had a bus tour of the launch pads. A truely impressive day. Shame there are no launches until mid January we would have a great view from the boat.
