Lee and Peter Sailing Trip was for Four not Two Years. Now an Italian adventure

Notes from Lee.

It has been two months now since we left New York.  It is amazing that we are now accustomed to the cruising life.

As far as my painting goes, I am completely settled down now. I have been painting everyday from 8:30 AM until 12:30 PM. It works fine for Peter and I. I will keep this routine for a while.

In my paintings, there has always been one consistant scheme. Since boating I have decided to change this. I have been reading a lot of physics and art books. I get inspired by the books and the sailing and have different thoughts.

From all this I have developed a new scheme. I am very comfortable and enthusiatic  with the new direction.  I have already three different sketches of new paintings.

It is a mix of fractal, motion of sailing ( wind and water) and earth and moonscape. The motion of sailing is done by the boat moving while sailing and the earth moonscape is done by throwing the paint like Jackson Pollock.

I thought that it might take half a year to be at this point, but it came very easily and fast. The solution is that I may paint while sailing to get the movement and another part may be painted while not moving at all.

I need to find a place to throw the paints on my canvas. We are going to work on the boat in Melbourne. We need install Air Conditioner, Solar Panel and Radar. Peter will install all these while I am painting. I am sure I can find a place in Melbourne to throw the paint.

I am excited to find a new direction in painting and will enjoy developing the concept further and create some new paintings.
