Peter

Today Jan 4th is the Birthday of Peter’s late son, Joe. We bought two roses and carry them around everywhere to the Library and Shopping. The longer we carry them around the harder it is to let go. It seems like he is with us all the time. Last year we threw the flowers into the East River in New York. This year we threw them into the St Lucie River Stuart Florida.

Bye bye Joe.

Peter’s son Joe liked fishing. He had a favorite place to fish near the Plymouth Harbour in England. The water meets anywhere so Joe would have got the roses.

We are at an Anchorage in Stuart. Peter is getting ambitious to replace the rest of the side windows. It will rain on and off this week so we do not want empty holes after bringing the old windows to the factory in order to cut same sizes.

Peter has installed the Solar Panel in a tempory place to find out if it is working well. We do not have to worry about the Battery anymore.

Connecting solar to batteries.

As we read in the guide book, the rejuvenated part of the city of Stuart is very nice.  Specialty shops and touristic shops are everywhere. On Saturday and Sunday, there will be a Nautical Flea Market. Peter is excited about it. There is always something to buy or prepare for the boat.

Typical “Historic” American downtown.

Peter’s favorite place is the Hardware Store in any city. Once when we arrived in Cocoa, I was excited to visit the city, since we read so much about it. It was a hot day so I was looking for an any airconditioned store. The first place Peter found, was a big famous old fashioned Hardware Store which didn’t even have air-conditioning. I could not believe it! We finally agreed to go to the Hardware Store after cooling off in a Cafe with ice coffee and air-conditioning.

Fun in the hardware store.

We have all kind of tools in our Boat. One half side of the boat is full of tools. Peter has been doing all kind of repairs. We never need even a Mechanic or Repair Man for the boat.

Good job we have the tools.

The best thing about Peter! He does not mind to clean the dishes or clean the boat or do cooking sometimes. He is a real man among the men. How lucky I am!

  1. Hi Eemo and Peter! Your pictures and posts look really great. I’m glad you are having fun and you both look very well. Thank you for sharing about Joe. I feel fortunate that our family was able to meet him in Korea the summer you were married. He was so smart and funny and I’ll always remember how he was up for everything. I remember when he and Matthew helped to clean off our grandmother’s grave and even bowed to her. I truly felt like our families had become one that day. I miss you both! Stay healthy and keep up with the updates.
    Love,
