Puerto Rico

We made a trip to Karst Country, North West of the Pueto Rican Island. This is a Taino Indian Ceremonial Plazas. Taino
Indians lived in Puerto Rico, Haiti, Cuba, Jamaica, Dominican Republic and Bahamas when Columbus arrived in 1492. They lived based on Agriculture Yuca, Corn, and Sweet Potatos……….

Could hear the Music and Dancing

They are from Siberia arrived in America like Maya, Aztec, and Inca civilization. Taino means friendly and peaceful. They had black straight hair and bronze complexion. They are very artistic people and the Potters and the Artist were very respected in society.

This is a Karst Country Limestone Cave. It is so big and didn’t feel like a Cave. The underground River is flowing and comes up to the walk ways sometimes in heavy rain. Inside the Cave we saw a blind Spider and Bats.

It is summer in the Caribbean Islands. It gets so hot every afternoon. Our air conditioner has a limit so we go out in the afternoon to look for a cool place and work with WiFi. Peter is working in the Boat with a satisfactory mood.

This is the scene through our window. I see the Fractal of the water. Everytime it is very different always. We almost live in the land now and in the car most of the time. We have become westernized again 😞 We miss the time in the water in the open space! This is a very good Marina for the Hurricane but more of a land life.

Through the Window

Puerto Rico is a beautiful Island! We drive on the small roads on the mountain El Yunq and drive through the Beaches and Karst Country. We have time to enjoy and no rush, we enjoy the country road rather than the highways. Puerto Rican people are gentil and sincere. Some people seem to feel close to Europe more than US. They are the 6th or 7th generation people from Europe. Spanish is the heavily rooted in the culture and language.

It is an American Territory but they should have a right to vote for the president in my opinion. The economy is so bad here, a lot of people are leaving the Island. The government Debts are so high because of the Corruption, they say. Although Puerto Rico is the wealthiest Island among the Caribbean Islands since it is the Territory of USA.

  2. It is very nice for an option to respond has come up on my phone. We missed seeing you when you came back for the wedding. You have visited so many wonderful places. Have you decided to stop cruising and settle down? Or is this a hiatus? How is your art doing? Do you see an evolution as a result of the exposures to different light and color patterns? Regards to Peter Gregg and Cathy

    1. Hi Gregg and Cathy
Nice to hear from you. It looks like that we could rent our Apartment longer. So we are planning to cruise much longer. We enjoy the Cruising life so much that we could cruise three more years maybe. We would like to go Western part, Mexico, Guatemala area too.

I have not put a lot of painting time but am making a progress. To buy a house take a lot of attention. Now we are hiding from the Hurricanes.

      We miss everybody!
