Our wild life! and AMX0035

We are winding down from sailing and moving into new adventures. It has been sometime since I posted.

We are still staying in Puerto Rico away from New York and everything. The life in Palmas del Mar Resort is serine and secluded. I am totally into painting and Peter is busy preparing our boat, Notre Voyage for selling and helping me with computer graphics for my art.

Here are my recent paintings. I have painted scenes about sailing life for a while. I was trying to make a straight line while sailing and I could not make a straight line because of the sailing movement. So I went totally the opposite way and go along with the movement as the Boat moves creating wavy lines in my paintings

And now I am focusing on natural beauty…..Fractals…..Universal mathematical order and the human touch. I have read all the Fractal books available and observed so much while sailing and traveling.

We are buying a stone house with a large Olive farm in Abruzzo, Italy. And will construct an extension for a Painting Studio and one extra bedroom with the existing house. As you can see, the existing house now has a two bedrooms.

My brother has been diagnosed with ALS. There is currently no cure and you may have heard of it from the Ice Bucket Challenge. A new drug AMX0035 is showing great promise and has passed phase 2 trials. There is a campaign to make the drug available without waiting several more years for a phase 3 trial. Please support the campaign by sending an email to passalsbills@protonmail.com. Just say I support the bills in congress related to ALS. More info with a google search “ALS drugs”. Picture was taken  on a trip to Japan.

Last but by no means least, my son Adam and his wife Jenny had a baby in March. She is a delightful and beautiful baby. Because of Covid19 we have not been able to visit her in Boston, we live on photos and videos and video calls. They are both MDs so we worry about hospital contagion but we decided to focus on positive things.

  3. Hi Pete and Lee,
Great to hear from you and, as usual, amazed at what you both accomplish even during a pandemic!
Have you been travelling to Italy lately?
We’ve been going nowhere, except next door to upstage New York – just returned from a hiking vacation in the Catskills.
Always enjoy seeing and reading about your art, Lee … you’re the Fractals Lady! Mazel Tov on the birth of your granddaughter!! That’s wonderful news.
Sorry to hear about your brother’s ALS, however … how great it will be if a cure becomes available.
Pete, your name came up a couple of days ago when Carol and I met up with Lynn Sarro for dinner, not far from her farm! I’ll let her know how you are.
How much longer do you think you’ll remain in PR?
Keep well, and we look forward to seeing you both again one of these days!
All the best from me and Carol.

  4. Dear Une Oak,

so nice to hear that you have become grandmother! Congratulations from Walter and me and all the best wishes for the littel new human being!

We hope, that the Corona time will pass quickly and maybe we could meet againg, maybe in France, where we have bought a house near the village, where we have spent our holidays in 1991 together. Walter and I are still working and the children are still studying but we see them quite often.

Here some photos from us. Have a nice trip and je t´embrasse Viki

  5. Of course we will. So good to hear from you. I had 2 phones destroyed and your contact info was lost. It’s nice to “hear Your voice “. Sorry to hear the bad news about your brother. I hope the drug continues to show promise. I like the direction your art has taken. We all have an inner sense of what pleases and there’s a Serenity I like. Perhaps I am simple. We have hunkered down and simplified our lives. Cathy’s company has all working from home so she set up an office at my house. Nice though she and most people dislike the hours and pressure. She just cut back to 4 days and wants just 3. I can’t believe you are getting out of boating. I don’t know how far your Italian villa is from water. Olive farm? Amazing!! Perhaps Italy s unique light will bring a new dimension to your work. Lastly the baby is beautiful. Regards to Peter and stay in touch. You have both been missed. Gregg/Cathy Sent from my iPhone
